SWOT Analysis for Websites

A SWOT analysis is a strategic tool that has been used for many years in business to look at the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats that that business might have or be facing.

Much has been written about SWOT analysis and how to carry it out. After reading problogger's post I decided to do an analysis on Programcreek. Actually, if I can not run it through my blog, the blog might have some problem with it.

Define Mission and Goals

This blog's goal is to track my technical skills, hobbies, and help me find my strength and my real interest, also provide my readers fancy technology materials and get a large amount of readers.

Analyze Your Reflections and Generate Strategies

In summary,  behind a good blog, there is always a person who works diligently. He should have good writing skill and a lot of knowledge in this field.

doing the analysis of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats is only half the job. Working out how to turn Weaknesses into Strengths and Threats into Opportunities is the key part of a SWOT analysis.

Translate your findings into an Action Plan and begin to implement it.

Update December 2013:

Several years passed, programcreek.com has stood out to be one of the best from thousands of Java blogs. Everything has changed, the site goal, the strength, etc. Looking back, I think SWOT is a good way to analyze websites!
